Antonio Boscia

Antonio Boscia belongs to the first wave of immigration from Southern Italy to Colorado before 1900.

A native of Naples his exact date of birth remains unknown, likely between 1855 and 1859. His entry into the U.S. should date around 1887, while that of his wife Rosa nine years later, 1896.

He becomes a naturalized American citizen in Walsenburg on May 8, 1903, working in the mines of the area for about twenty years and his five children, Carlo (1897), Samuel (1898), Lee (1900), Mary (1903) and Angelo (1904) are all born Colorado.

He is a widower since 1914 and dies in Walsenburg in 1934.
